The licensed FN SCAR-H airsoft rifle by CYMA Platinum is an electric AEG featuring FN HERSTAL BELGIUM markings on the body. The model combines an FN Herstal licence with reproduced markings, a QSC quick spring change system and a Kestrel V2 MOSFET/ETU, supporting visual fidelity to the original firearm, power configuration changes and electronic control of the mechanism.

FN Herstal licence and markings

The FN Herstal licence allows the airsoft rifle to feature FN HERSTAL BELGIUM markings on the body. These details enhance the appearance of the model and support an accurate reproduction of the characteristic SCAR-H platform design.

An individual serial number is located on the aluminium upper receiver.

Construction and design

The aluminium upper receiver is combined with a polymer lower receiver and stock. Steel is used for the external barrel, muzzle device, mock bolt carrier, charging handle and the pins securing the lower receiver and stock.

A RIS rail runs along the top of the upper receiver and allows optics to be mounted. The handguard features two side RIS panels and a lower panel for additional accessories, including grips and flashlights. The external barrel features a 14 mm CCW thread.

The model is equipped with folding iron sights comprising an aperture rear sight and a front sight. They allow the airsoft rifle to be aimed without installing additional optics.

Ergonomics and handling

The ambidextrous fire selector and ambidextrous magazine release make the airsoft rifle easier to operate with either hand.

The stock folds to the side and features six length settings and an adjustable cheek riser. This allows its position to be adapted to protective equipment, installed optics and user preferences.

The airsoft rifle measures ~915 mm with the stock fully extended and ~845 mm with the stock retracted. Folding the stock to the side reduces the length to ~660 mm, making transport and handling in confined spaces easier. The extended stock supports a stable shooting position, while the shorter configurations improve handling during CQB games and near obstacles.

The weight without a magazine is ~3094 g. The mass of the construction supports stable handling while aiming, while the adjustable stock allows its position to be adapted to user preferences.

Ambidextrous sling attachment points are located near the stock mount and behind the gas block. Multiple mounting positions make it easier to configure the preferred carrying setup.

Internal parts and mechanics

The airsoft rifle uses a V2 Long gearbox designed for the SCAR-H platform. The QSC quick spring change system located in the gearbox makes it easier to change the power configuration without rebuilding the entire mechanism.

The internal system includes 8 mm steel ball bearings, a piston with a full steel tooth rack and CNC 13:1 gears with a short-stroke modification. The mechanism is driven by a long high-torque motor with neodymium magnets.

The pneumatic system includes a silent piston and cylinder head set, a V2 Long type 3 cylinder with a teardrop-shaped port and a 28.22 mm Teflon nozzle sealed with an O-ring. The steel spring guide is fitted with a bearing.

Electronic system

The Kestrel V2 MOSFET/ETU electronically controls the operating cycle of the airsoft rifle. The wiring terminates in a T-connect plug, and the battery compartment is located in the stock.

Performance and precision

The brass AEG inner barrel is 370 mm long and has a diameter of 6.03 mm. The model uses a non-standard polymer SCAR hop-up chamber.

The rate of fire is ~27 RPS, while the factory muzzle velocity is ~390 FPS. The airsoft rifle is also available in optional power variants:

• Medium: ~350 FPS
• Low: ~300 FPS

Power supply

The battery is installed inside the stock, and the electrical wiring terminates in a T-connect plug.
