What you really need to start

Battery: the right size and power

An electric replica, an AEG, will not fire a single shot without a battery. It has to have the right connector and fit inside the stock or under the handguard.

A balance charger

A lithium polymer battery, Li-Po for short, may only be charged with a balance charger. An ordinary NiMH charger ruins it within a few cycles.

BBs 0.25 g

Cheap, out of round BBs jam the hop-up chamber, the mechanism that puts backspin on the shot, and scratch the barrel. The set comes with polished ones, enough for several games.
