The designated marksman rifle replica from the CYMA Platinum series is an electric AEG designed for the DMR role and semi-automatic fire. The design combines a GEN-2 V2 long gearbox, Kestrel V2LONG MOSFET/ETU and QSC quick spring change system, supporting fast mechanism operation, electronic control and muzzle velocity adjustment.

DMR replica construction

The replica is made of nylon and aluminium. Its length is 1070 mm with the stock fully extended and 990 mm with the stock retracted. The weight without the magazine is ~3160 g.

An individual serial number is located on the lower receiver. The outer barrel ends with a 14 mm CCW thread, allowing compatible mock suppressors to be installed.

The M-LOK handguard allows compatible accessories to be mounted. An integrated QD sling mount makes it easier to configure the replica's carrying setup.

The top RIS rail running along the handguard and receiver allows a compatible scope to be installed.

Ergonomics and operation

The replica features an ambidextrous fire selector, making it easier to operate with either hand. An ambidextrous tactical sling attachment point is integrated into the rear plate.

The stock offers six-position length adjustment, allowing its position to be adapted to the user's build, equipment and shooting stance. It is also equipped with ambidextrous QD sling mounts. This arrangement allows the sling configuration to be adjusted to the preferred carrying method.

After the charging handle is pulled back, the functional bolt catch locks the mock bolt carrier in the rear position. This provides easier access to the rotary hop-up chamber during adjustment.

Internals and mechanism

The GEN-2 V2 long gearbox uses steel SR25 gears mounted on 8 mm steel ball bearings. The piston features a full steel rack and an aluminium piston head, while the steel spring guide is equipped with a bearing.

The pneumatic system includes an aluminium cylinder head, silent piston and cylinder heads, and a full steel SR25 cylinder. Air is delivered through a 24.28 mm Teflon nozzle.

The long high-torque neodymium motor drives the steel SR25 gear set and supports the operation of the mechanism. The QSC quick spring change system makes it easier to change the muzzle velocity configuration.

Electronic system

The replica is equipped with a Kestrel V2LONG MOSFET/ETU and a T-connect plug. The electronic system controls gearbox operation and supports the mechanism's response when the trigger is pulled.

The model operates exclusively in semi-automatic mode, in line with its intended DMR role.

Inner barrel and hop-up

The replica is equipped with a 510 mm brass inner barrel with a diameter of 6.03 mm. The polymer rotary hop-up chamber allows the BB spin to be adjusted, helping to adapt its flight path to the selected ammunition and shooting conditions.

The factory muzzle velocity in the stock configuration is ~490 FPS. An optional muzzle velocity adjustment service is available for the Medium ~350 FPS or Low ~310 FPS configurations.

Power supply

The battery is housed inside the stock tube. The replica uses a T-connect plug.
