Licensed 1911 pistol replica, Combat Elite Commander GBB [EMG]

Colt 1911 Combat Elite Commander Model GBB is a gas-powered pistol replica based on the classic M1911 platform, designed for realistic blowback operation, solid full-metal construction, and authentic Colt 1911 ergonomics. The model was developed in cooperation with 6mm Pro Shop and features licensed Colt markings.

Construction and design

The replica uses a full-size, all-metal construction including the slide, frame, outer barrel, magazine, and control elements, supporting realistic weight distribution and the characteristic feel of a GBB platform.

The slide features licensed Combat Elite and Commander Model Colt Automatic 9mm Luger markings, maintaining the styling of the real firearm.

The replica weighs approximately ~706 g without the magazine, providing a compact and well-balanced setup.

The grip panels feature ergonomic profiling around the magazine catch area, supporting a secure hold and comfortable handling during dynamic use.

The control layout follows the classic M1911A1 configuration. The model includes a hammer, a beavertail grip safety, and a manual safety lever.

Gas system and blowback

The blowback system is responsible for slide movement during firing, reproducing the characteristic operating cycle of the Colt 1911 and increasing realism during use.

The design uses T8 components, including a 70° hop-up rubber, magazine seals, and a rubber piston head. These elements support gas system sealing and stable blowback cycling.

The replica is also equipped with a reinforced T8 trigger unit, improving durability of key mechanical components.

Hop-up and precision

A regulated hop-up system allows adjustment of BB trajectory depending on BB weight and engagement distance. Adjustment is performed after removing the slide.

The 115 mm inner barrel supports stable BB guidance and consistent shot performance.

The factory muzzle velocity is approximately 300 FPS, matching the characteristics of compact GBB pistols designed for dynamic use.

Compatibility

The outer barrel features a 12 mm internal clockwise thread, allowing installation of compatible muzzle devices.

The replica is built on TM-standard compatible solutions, supporting wide availability of spare parts and upgrade components.

Magazine

The included magazine holds 25 BBs and works with the blowback system, ensuring stable gas and BB feeding during the firing cycle.

The metal magazine construction improves durability and supports realistic GBB handling. It is also compatible with CO2 magazines designed for the M1911 platform.

The magazine is equipped with a T8 stainless steel valve, precision-machined to support stable and consistent gas output with each shot.

This design reduces gas loss and helps maintain pressure stability, even in lower temperatures, compared to standard valves.
