CM.048M, GEN-2 [CYMA]

The CM.048M GEN-2 airsoft rifle by CYMA is an electric AEG based on the AKM design, combining steel external components with classic wooden furniture. The model features a V3 gearbox with a Quick Spring Change (QSC) system, a CYMA V3 MOSFET, and a short-type high-torque motor with neodymium magnets, supporting efficient mechanical operation and trigger response.

Construction and design

The CM.048M GEN-2 replica reproduces the classic silhouette of the AKM rifle, featuring a fixed stock and traditional wooden furniture.

The receiver, receiver cover, flash hider, and gas tube are made of steel. Other external components, including the outer barrel, sights, front sight base, side mounting rail, and handguard retainer, are made of metal.

The stock and handguard are made of laminated wood, emphasizing the classic appearance of the AKM platform. The pistol grip is made of durable nylon.

The fit of the components supports structural rigidity during use. The replica also features an individual serial number.

Internal components and mechanics

The replica features a V3 gearbox equipped with 8 mm ball bearings. The internal configuration includes a piston with a metal tooth rack and a short-type high-torque motor with neodymium magnets, supporting responsive trigger operation.

The pneumatic system uses a Type 0 cylinder and a 19.60 mm polymer nozzle. The metal spring guide with bearings supports proper mechanical operation during the firing cycle.

The gearbox also features a Quick Spring Change (QSC) system, allowing the main spring to be replaced without opening the gearbox shell.
To access the QSC system, the gearbox must first be removed from the replica's receiver. Once removed, the spring can be replaced without opening the gearbox shell, making it easier to adjust the replica's power configuration to meet the requirements of different airsoft games.

Electronic system

The CM.048M GEN-2 features a CYMA V3 MOSFET, responsible for controlling the operation of the replica's electrical system.

The MOSFET supports smooth electrical system operation and trigger response during firing.

Performance and accuracy

The replica has a factory muzzle velocity of ~390 FPS and a rate of fire of ~20 RPS.

The model features a brass inner barrel measuring 500 mm in length and 6.04 mm in diameter, supporting shot-to-shot consistency and a stable BB trajectory.

The metal hop-up chamber allows adjustment of BB backspin, enabling the user to adapt the BB trajectory to shooting conditions.

The outer barrel features a 14 mm CCW thread, allowing the installation of compatible muzzle devices, including suppressors.

Power supply

The replica uses a T-connect connector and is compatible with 7.4V and 11.1V LiPo batteries.

The battery is housed inside the stock.
