The licensed G36C airsoft rifle by CYMA Platinum is a compact electric airsoft rifle fitted with a side-folding stock. The airsoft gun combines a GEN-2 V3 gearbox with the QSC quick spring change system, a Kestrel V3 MOSFET/ETU and licensed markings, providing a functional configuration for dynamic games and use in confined spaces.

Construction and design

The body, handguard and stock are made of durable nylon. The sights and muzzle device are made of aluminium, while the mounting pins are made of steel. The rifle weighs ~2340 g without the magazine.

The rifle measures 720 mm with the stock unfolded and 500 mm when folded. Its compact dimensions make the G36C airsoft rifle easier to handle in confined spaces and more convenient to transport.

Markings of the firearm manufacturer are located on the left and right sides of the upper receiver. The individual serial number is placed on the trigger guard.

The side-folding stock allows the airsoft gun to be quickly shortened. A catch on the body secures the stock in the folded position, while openings in its lower section allow the removed takedown pins to be stored during disassembly, following the design of the firearm counterpart. The rubber butt pad improves comfort when the stock is shouldered.

The airsoft gun is fitted with sights, allowing it to be used without an additional optic. The upper RIS rail enables the installation of additional red dot sights, while the RIS rail on the handguard allows a foregrip to be attached. This enables the rifle configuration to be adapted to the user's preferred setup.

Ergonomics and handling

The rifle is equipped with an ambidextrous fire selector. The magazine release is located in front of the trigger guard and can be accessed from either side, supporting convenient right- and left-handed handling.

Three sling attachment points allow the rifle carrying setup to be adapted to the user's preferences. One is located at the front of the handguard, the second at the rear of the body and the third directly next to the stock butt pad. Their placement allows different mounting configurations for a tactical sling.

The hop-up chamber can be accessed by pulling back the ambidextrous charging handle connected to the dummy bolt. This provides access to the adjustment mechanism without disassembling the airsoft gun.

Internal parts and mechanics

The G36C airsoft rifle uses a GEN-2 V3 gearbox designed for the G36 platform. The QSC quick spring change system allows the spring to be replaced without opening the gearbox shell, making it easier to adapt the configuration to game requirements.

The mechanism uses CNC-machined gears with a 13:1 gear ratio in a short-stroke configuration and 8 mm steel ball bearings. The piston features a full metal-tooth rack, while the steel bearing-mounted spring guide supports stable operation of the mechanism.

The pneumatic system includes a silent head set, a steel type 2 cylinder and a 25.54 mm Teflon nozzle sealed with an O-ring. The mechanism is driven by a short high-torque motor with neodymium magnets. The airsoft gun reaches ~23 RPS.

Electronic system

The Kestrel V3 MOSFET/ETU electronically controls the operation of the GEN-2 gearbox and supports a fast response when the trigger is pressed.

Performance and precision

The brass AEG inner barrel has a length of 260 mm and a diameter of 6.03 mm. Combined with the polymer G36-type hop-up chamber, it allows the BB spin to be adjusted and its flight path to be adapted to game conditions.

In the factory Stock configuration, supplied ready for use out of the box, the electric G36C airsoft rifle reaches ~390 FPS. When purchasing the airsoft gun, an optional FPS configuration service can be selected to set it to the Medium variant at ~350 FPS or the Low variant at ~300 FPS.

Power supply

The battery is housed inside the handguard. The T-connect connector allows the airsoft gun to be powered by the dedicated 7.4 V or 11.1 V LiPo batteries.
