CM.068D GEN-2 airsoft rifle by CYMA is an AEG rifle based on the AR platform, prepared for short- and medium-range skirmishes and configurations with accessories mounted in the KeyMod and RIS standards. The construction combines metal-polymer build, GEN-2 gearbox with a quick spring change system and CYMA MOSFET/ETU system, supporting efficient replica operation and trigger response.

Construction and design

CM.068D GEN-2 uses a metal-polymer construction, with the pistol grip and SF stock made of polymer. The replica is equipped with a KeyMod handguard measuring 14 3/4", or ~370 mm, allowing the mounting of compatible accessories in selected positions.

The set includes three RIS rails: one with nine slots and two with five slots. They allow the mounting of RIS-compatible accessories, such as flashlights or other tactical equipment selected for the user's configuration.

Folding iron sights are mounted on the upper RIS rail. They can serve as the primary sighting system or as backup sights in a configuration with optics.

The outer barrel has a 14 mm CCW thread, which allows the mounting of compatible muzzle devices such as a tracer unit or suppressor. The replica is factory-equipped with a mock compensator.

Ergonomics and handling

The ambidextrous magazine release supports replica handling during dynamic gameplay and makes operation easier for both right- and left-handed users. The enlarged trigger guard helps when using the replica with gloves.

The six-position SF stock adjustment allows the replica length to be matched to the user's body type, tactical gear and shooting position. The rear plate with an ambidextrous sling mount allows the sling to be installed according to the preferred carrying configuration.

The functional bolt catch makes access to hop-up adjustment easier, allowing the BB trajectory to be adjusted more efficiently to the ammunition used. The individual serial number is placed on the left side of the lower receiver.

Internal parts and mechanics

CM.068D GEN-2 uses a V2 gearbox with a quick spring change system located in the spring guide. This solution allows the replica's power to be changed without fully disassembling the gearbox.

Inside, the replica uses 8 mm steel ball bearings, 18:1 gears and a long-type High Torque motor. This configuration supports efficient drivetrain operation and stable mechanism response during firing.

The piston has full steel teeth and an aluminum piston head. The pneumatic system includes an aluminum cylinder head, type 0 cylinder and 21.0 mm Teflon nozzle.

The steel bearing spring guide supports even spring operation and gearbox cycle stability.

Electronic system

The replica is equipped with a CYMA MOSFET/ETU system, which supports the electrical system and trigger response. Power is supplied through a T-connect plug, used in modern AEG configurations due to its low connection resistance.

The battery is installed in the stock tube or in the dedicated space inside the SF stock.

Performance and precision

The factory FPS in the Stock configuration is ~390 FPS. Available power configurations also include the Medium variant at ~360 FPS and the Low variant at ~310 FPS, allowing the replica to be adapted to different skirmish limits.

The rate of fire is 19 BBs per second. BB guidance is handled by a 6.03 mm brass inner barrel with a length of 400 mm.

The metal rotary hop-up chamber allows precise BB spin adjustment and trajectory tuning to the weight of the ammunition used.
