      However, I bought 2 of these targets and they both work only when they are plugged in and charging. They don't work if you unplug them so that's a major issue and obvious lack of practicality. I tried resetting them and charging them longer, but still same problem

      The only down side is the tendency to shatter the BBs. Not that expended BBs should be reused...that is a bad idea..but it does make a bit more of a mess.

      I bought 5 on sale and do recommend the product.

      The target works well and it was nice that it came with a rechargeable battery in the package. If you have a usb plug close by you can also have it run directly through the included cable.
      Took about 3 hours to fully charge. It auto-resets in about 1 second and the color changes randomly. Seems pretty sturdy and the base is heavy enough that is doesn't topple over. No traces on dents on the target after a couple of hundred shots (1joule GBB airsoft pistol with .25g bb's).
      However keep in mind that this is not the version that pairs with the app (that one is called Sentry 2 BT)
