A bit of history

The original XM177E1 Commando, developed from the Colt Model 609, was a compact variant of the M16 rifle intended for special units and radio operators. Its shorter construction allowed easier handling in dense jungle environments and vehicles, where a standard infantry rifle was too long.

Historical construction inspired by the CAR-15 platform

The replica design is based on construction solutions typical of early CAR-15 family carbines used in the second half of the 1960s.

To improve durability, the manufacturer used steel external components in the most stressed areas: moderator / muzzle device, forged front sight, bolt catch, magazine release, trigger, construction pins, magazine, and buffer tube nut. These components increase wear resistance during intensive use and make the replica a solid base for further modifications and tuning.

The XM177E1 gas airsoft rifle uses the innovative CYMA CGS system, developed in cooperation with T8 (SP System).
