Réplique mitrailleuse PKM - Real Wood [A&K]

This review is an odd one.

I've only just received my PKM today and its pretty impressive. Although there is no instruction manual at all, most of what you might want to know can be found on various sites/youtube.

I opted to have TWG re-shim and downgrade to 1J (Ireland). The PKM sounds great as a result of the shimming... they always do a phenomenal job... well worth the price!

However, I noticed two unfortunate things when looking over the AEG...

The positive wire for the battery connection had a small "tear" in the wire shielding exposing the wire beneath. I have no idea if this from from the factory or otherwise... it was an easy fix with some heat-shrink that I luckily had on hand.

The other is that using 0.25g BB's with no hop on, the PKM was only shooting ~0.5Js... I tried with 0.2g and 0.30g BB's and same thing... no hop on, ~0.5J.

Thankfully I have a good few springs on hand. As its a quick change system (gear box has to come out first), I figured the process would be no problem... just some trial and error to find the right one.

Frustratingly, the "sticker" they use to signify they were in the gearbox (re-shimming) and to know if someone else has opened it up was in the way of the spring release lever on the top of the gearbox. By changing the spring to bring it up to power properly, the sticker was damaged/fell off.

Hopefully, I wont need to warranty anything *crossing fingers

After changing the spring the PKM now shoots ~1J and feeds perfectly... I put about 1100 rnds through it testing and playing around and its working perfectly. Hopping 0.25g all the way to 0.30g was no problem and the ROF is more than satisfactory with a 7.4V Titan (~13-15rds).

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I would definitely recommend it as functionally it seems flawless out of the box.

I am however rather skeptical of the data sheet numbers provided from the downgrade. What was recorded was WAY off from what I experienced on my chronos.

I will update this review (if that's possible?) after a Milsim event this month. I'm hoping the PKM performs well in more demanding environment.

The build quality is good. Mostly steel with very few aluminum alloy parts. You musty go over all external screws and hand tighten them before fielding the replica (some are not properly tighten and you might loose them).
The carry handle has some slop in it allowing the cam used for the barrel removal to jump over the trunion and scratch the replica body. Fix is easy, insert a small metal piece and loc the cam function.
The gearbox internals are good for stock parts with very few upgrades required. If you use a high torque motor with an 11.1v LiPo you might find that the gearbox can overrun the magazine feeding if you use long bursts of fire.
Overall, for the price, it's one of the best LMG's you can field.

Couldn't afford this replica for year, after i could buy it but i was scared about weight xd) And finialy i bought it!!! New version 2024. BEST materials ever used in airsoft replicas! Had problem with mine... Hop up bucking was broken... first time see that from TWG. But it was ez to replace. Now it`s amazing! Weight is playable, using real SSO pkm sling, Thanks to TWG for posibility to buy it!

The PKM replica is fantastic. The build quality is very good and has a realistic (heavy) weight.
The performance out of the box is impressive, with a decent rate of fire on a 11.1v battery. I would advise anyone looking to pick this beast up to buy a few batteries for it as your battery will empty before the bbs in the box magazine does.
Range is also okay, but I think it needs a better hop up bucking to get the full potential out of the replica.
I also got the fps/joule downgraded by taiwangun and they did a great job as it shoots at 0.9j which is perfect for the Netherlands limits.

The replica is perfect. It arrived today 3 days sooner than expected
Its heavy sturdy and the wood is one of the best quality that i have seen in airsoft
The metal is high quality nothing wobbles
The carry handle is one of the best i would trust to carry it by the handle but not for running or anything just walking
It has an adjustable fire rate and quick spring system
Unfortunately it didn't came with the manual so i dont have a clue how to change it
It would be helpful to upload in your channel in youtube how to change it
The fps is 470 a bit hot for most fields but you can order yours with different fps when you place the order
Taiwangun also changed my connection to deans without asking but its a plus for me the package also included the tamiya plug if you want to revert it back
Also my package came with two free gifts which is awsome
