Construction and design

Perun V2 Lightning replaces the mechanical trigger contacts, taking control of the replica's electrical system. The design uses optical and magnetic sensors responsible for detecting trigger operation, selector position, and gearbox cycle.

The Back wired variant has wiring routed to the rear of the replica. This configuration allows the unit to be used in replicas where the battery is placed in the stock or rear part of the construction.

The unit works without modifications in most V2 gearboxes in the Tokyo Marui standard. The manufacturer indicates compatibility with brushed and brushless BLDC motors, gear sets including DSG, and a 7-17 V power range.

Electronic system

Perun V2 Lightning allows trigger sensitivity adjustment without modifying the trigger or gearbox. Adaptive control lets the user set the trigger travel from very short to longer, also in field conditions.

The unit also supports a two-stage trigger, where a light and deeper trigger pull can activate different operating modes. Available combinations include semi-auto fire, burst, and full-auto fire.

Compatibility and installation

Perun V2 Lightning is supplied with a dedicated selector plate designed for most AR-type replicas. For replicas with a non-standard selector plate, the manufacturer includes a magnet with double-sided tape and a positioning tool.

After installation, the fire selector can be calibrated to correctly detect operating positions. The selector sensor uses a magnetic Hall sensor, which is not affected by external light, supporting unit operation also in replicas with cut-out receivers.

The unit is designed to work with Perun trigger accessories for V2 gearboxes, such as Clicker V2, Clicker V2 PRO, and Speeder V2. These accessories allow the trigger characteristics to be further adjusted to the user's preferences.

Safety and diagnostics

The low battery voltage alarm warns the user with sound signals when the voltage drops to a level requiring use to be stopped. The unit automatically detects the number of cells and selects the alarm threshold.

The diagnostic system monitors both the replica and the unit itself. The LED indicates detected problems, such as a jammed motor, overheating, short circuit, or sensor error, making troubleshooting easier.

The electronic resettable fuse cuts off power in case of a short circuit or gearbox jam. After removing the cause and reconnecting the battery, the unit can return to operation without replacing the fuse.
