Daniel Defense MK18 RII 9.5 GBBR MWS Gas Airsoft Rifle - FDE [EMG]

My first gbbr and im amazed. ive been shooting for a while and didnt have any problems so far. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it this much, but it just feels right every time I use it. The feedback, the sound, the way everything works together… it just makes the whole experience way more fun than I thought it would be.

After a couple of games, I started noticing all the little things that make a difference. It feels smooth, consistent, and kinda addictive in a good way.
What surprised me the most is how natural it feels. Nothing seems forced or awkward, and I never had any issues so far, which makes it even better. It just works, and that gives a lot of confidence.
Now it’s hard to go back to anything else because this set the bar pretty high. Definitely one of those experiences that sticks with you and makes you want to keep coming back for more.

This is my second MWS type replica.

Firstly the external build quality is great. Everything fits tightly with no wobble on anything except for the stock. The paint however is not the best. Unlike my other rifle the paint on the mk18 has worn off after simply installing an Elcan onto it. For me this isnt a problem since I like more worn looks on rifles.

The stock itself I feel like is an EMG AEG stock they just put on to this replica. This is no problem outside of it not perfectly fitting the buffer tube. The stock is also the only part of the replica that doesnt feel like the best quality. I swapped it out for a magpul CTR.

Internally its identical to my Aeroknox MWS. The bolt carriers, upper receivers etc all are interchangable between my 2 replicas. After about 1000 rounds I relubricated the replica. Which for anyone who buys one of these I would argue is a requirement. Metal shavings from the replica wearing in were all over the triggerbox. Mainly the hammer and roller. After relubrication the replica has been running fine ever since.

The stock hop performance is alright. Though it seems less acurate out of the box compared to my Aeroknox. I'm not sure why this is. But changing the bucking and hop arm should fix this.

The replica also will not work well with Tokyo Marui stanag magazines. For this you will have to replace the feedlips on all your magazines to either the Unicorn ones or the GM ones.

Finally upgrades. For use in my country (the netherlands) an NPAS or low power valve is required. Sadly I do not believe taiwangun stocks these at the moment. So I will recommend the Waldo Crimson Npas. Furthermore I would recommend a bucking upgrade. I personally went with a Unicorn 70c bucking. And finally I ordered a PTS Mec Buffer.

I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a gas blowback Mk18.
