Tokyo Marui AKX GBB is a gas-powered replica based on the AK platform, designed with stable gas system operation, realistic GBBR handling, and a compact configuration for dynamic use in mind. The replica utilizes Tokyo Marui's refined blowback system, valued for its smooth operation and high shot-to-shot consistency.

Design & construction

The AKX features a compact configuration with an 8.7-inch (~22.1 cm) outer barrel, supporting mobility in confined environments and fast weapon handling during dynamic gameplay.

The replica measures 548 mm with the stock folded and 741 mm with the stock extended. Weight is approximately ~3600 g with an inserted empty magazine and ~3052 g without the magazine, providing realistic GBBR balance and handling.

The dust cover is equipped with a 20 mm Picatinny rail for mounting optics or red dot sights. The gas tube cover also features a 20 mm rail designed for additional accessories.

The side-folding stock is made from reinforced polymer and attaches to the receiver via a 20 mm rail interface. A QD sling socket is located at the base of the stock for tactical sling attachment.

A 14 mm CCW thread allows the installation of suppressors, tracers, and other compatible muzzle devices.

Gas system & hop-up
