Réplique ARC X C.A.T. Explorer 10" AR-15 AEG [ARCTURUS]

Externally : sturdy, no wobbling, good surface finish and very good feeling in hand. I use the big stock for battery storage, it fits a 3 separate cell 2200mAh with ease, and there's still room left. My only drawback : I had to glue the tip of the pin that allow the opening of the stock, it would otherwise fall out.

Internally : gearbox was well shimmed stock but not a lot of grease, which is easy to add since it's a split gearbox. I received mine with a 1/2 cylinder, which is a bit short for a 250mm barrel, especially when pushing heavier bbs. The overall seal was very good, only slight weak point being the nozzle and its small internal o-ring that leaks just a bit.
Barrel was clean and well cut on both sides, window and chamfer. Hop up is the Arcturus H style with a cylindrical hollow knob, I know it from my AK12 and so I swapped it for my prefered setup. Motor is good, had to slightly adjust its position.

Tuning : the precocking is easy to adjust, one pin to remove, upper pivots, a few clicks on the trigger in full auto to get the sector gear in the right position, and there you go. I swapped the spring for a heavier one so I could go as low as "6" and it is very snappy. I chronied it to 20rps with having put a M110.

Playing : great, light, and with my few upgrades I have a 40cm grouping at 60 real meters, max distance would be 65+, using 0.33 at 1.4 joules. It's a really great all around replica, when it's fully dialed in I will use it as my main when playing "west".

-Swapped spring
-Swapped nub and bucking
-Swapped nozzle
-Swapped cylinder for a 3/4, since I shoot heavy bbs
-Clear tape on the barrel

Top je recommande par contre ne pas prendre une batterie 1200mAh 11.1V lipo mais plutôt une , 1100mAh 7,4V LiPo sinon l’arme bug en semi.

Hello, let me tell you why you should avoid buying any of C.A.T series by Arcturus. A few days ago, I purchased the following model C.A.T. Explorer 10". The main reason I choose this model was the MAP (Mechanical Adjustable Pre-Cocking) Sector Gear. If only I knew how much trouble you could get because of this feature I would never have purchased this product! Out of the box the replica overrun (double shots) with 7.4v Li-Po battery on Semi-Auto because the MAP Sector Gear. Out of the box the replica stop working with 11.1v Li-Po battery on Semi-Auto again because of the MAP Sector Gear. When I looked at the manual about these problems I was shocked! There are over 20 different problem scenarios related to MAP Sector Gear! This product is advertised as 11.1 Li-Po ready and there is a HUGE print on the box 11.1 Li-Po ready but in reality the replica stop working with 11.1 battery! In the manual they suggest for almost all the problems to adjust the level of the pre-cocking. The standard value is 8.0 that should work fine with 7.4 and 11.1 Li-Po battery but you will experience problems with both 7.4 and 11.1 out of the box. The MAP Sector Gear has 12 position markings and they suggest for overrun (double shots) on Semi-Auto to adjust the position so that pre-cocking level to be weaker because it's to strong. To make pre-cocking weaker you have to adjust the level with bigger value like 9, 10, 11 or the max 12. Basically the replica out of the box is set around 40% pre-cocking and you have only 4 available options to make it work properly. Taiwangun claims that they test all products before they are shipped to the customer. I made an inquiry exactly how they tested the replica and with what batteries because I have a problem with 7.4v and 11.1v that I bought from them! This is the second replica purchased by me from them that has a problem out of the box! I asked them for testing the same model with the same battery they sold me to check if they will get the same results so that I avoid return this replica and just open it and adjust the Pre-Cocking level to make the gun operate normally. I will update you all about this issue so that you know if this is good product or a crap one! Let's see if Taiwangun will make the tests and how they will assisst me for second time about problem with product they sell and clamed that they tested it before send it to me.
