I picked up a few of these airsoft mags and I’m honestly impressed. For the price, they’re extremely reliable and feed consistently without jams or misfeeds. The build feels sturdy enough to handle regular use, yet they’re still lightweight, which makes carrying multiple mags super easy during longer games. Reloading is smooth, and they lock into my rifle perfectly with no wobble. Even after a few matches and plenty of reload cycles, they continue to perform just like new. For anyone looking for affordable, dependable magazines that don’t cut corners on quality, these are a great choice.

If you're looking for reliable, fitting, fast-feeding magazines that don't cost a fortune and will surely last during mil-sim events, these Guarder magazines will do the trick! I decided to buy them as I finally wanted to fully switch to mid-caps, the BlueBox for me was the best choice as the magazines come as a bundle and each holds 140BBs, which is quite good. After more than a month of usage they are like new even if they bathed in mud, got stepped on and fell several times. I'm extremely happy with these magazines!

Unboxing: the packaging is quite simple, but it's good to see some details put in the unboxing experience of the bundle. The box presents itself as a double layered cardboard box which has the top layer painted white with one TaiwanGun sticker and the BlueBox logo and details printed in blue from every viewing angle (apart from the bottom, of course). Each magazine is individually sealed in a plastic bag that has a small "BlueBox" sticker which acts as the seal. Inside, the cardboard box is plain brown as it's not printed from the inside, but the box is pre-cut such that the top cover can be folded to create a nice stand that can be re-used to contain the spare magazines, instead of throwing it away, that's nice!

Pros:

+Build Quality: the magazine is fully built with good quality black polymer. Construction feels pretty solid, to test their durability I've tried bending them by hand very hard. The first time the magazine produced a subtle crackling, but when released and re-bent no noises were produced at all. Through the process, the magazine remained perfectly straight, without showing any sign of deformation whatsoever. During games they were dropped and fell into mud (accidentally) and worked well even after. When shaking or tapping them (loaded and unloaded) almost no sound can be heard, everything on par with other mid-caps I've had the opportunity to try. Each magazine weighs around 115g when unloaded, making them pretty lightweight considering the sturdiness. The polymer has a subtle texture that provides very good grip without catching on pouches. I'm very impressed considering the price!

+Performance: each magazine consistently holds around 141-142 BBs at total capacity, meaning that you can load them with ease without pushing too hard on the speedloader to get to full 140BB capacity. In every game I've never had a feeding issue, considering the magazine has a final protruding fake-BB nib capable of pushing even the last BB out of the replica. The magazines were pushed through a 35 RPS replica without issues, and from my tests they completely unload in around 900 ms with 0.25g BBs when the spring is released. They are incredibly good at doing what they should be doing!

+Compatibility: I tested these magazines with many different M4 platforms, and they fit perfectly in all without any kind of modification. The magazines lock in securely and release smoothly. Even if in some platforms there was a little wobble, where other magazines failed to feed these were consistent and working well!

Cons:

-Repairability: while the magazine is sturdy and if oiled and treated with care should last a very long time, the body is made of two joint plastic parts (which are a little welded on the seams). Then there is the bottom plate, which surely is removable and if removed will make it possible to access the spring, but it's so stuck in place that I couldn't find a way to remove it by hand. From one point of view this is good, you won't lose it if the magazine drops, but the construction of the magazine makes repairability more difficult. This could've been solved with a button release.

Final Overview

Even considering the bigger repairability concern, if these magazines are treated as they should be or not (as I did in my tests and games) they will work well for a long time, offering an exceptional cost-value ratio. The combination of reliable and fast feeding, accurate capacity, and cross-platform compatibility are astonishingly good.

That's why I couldn't give these less than 5 stars and I found mostly positive aspects! No other mid-cap magazines I've tested in this price range offer the same balance of quality, reliability, and compatibility. Guarder did an amazingly good job with these BlueBox magazines! And as always, TG makes the perfect shop to buy them from.

Tips:

Loading: without a syringe or wheel speed loader filling these magazines is very likely to be impossible. I must recommend the wheel type, as the spring is very strong, loading them with the syringe type speedloader can be pretty uncomfortable.

Identification: remember to put some ID on your mags, a piece of colored tape will do. In this way if you drop or someone takes them by mistake you'll be able to recognize them in no time.

Maintenance: it is necessary, as at the beginning the spring is very stiff, to prepare the magazine to avoid feeding problems. Following TaiwanGun instructions of feeding 10 BBs at a time and then releasing, repeating until reaching full capacity is mandatory, but will take 15 minutes per magazine. Remember this before your first match, the preparation period is a small price to pay for the long-term reliability they provide, and should be done on every new mid-cap magazine! I recommend counting around 140-150 BBs and reusing the same BBs for every magazine. The process is kind of repetitive and the BBs surface will get ruined over every loading cycle. In this way at the end of the preparation for each magazine instead of ruining countless BBs you'll only have ruined a handful. Also, mid-caps should be stored without BBs inside to avoid spring fatigue in the long run.

Solid mags for a low price! Looks more expensive than it costs. Feels sturdy and solid yet light and cheap. Works with all of my guns that I've tried and feeds well with all of the bullets (0.25 to 0.32)

Best m4 mags.

Firstly I was scared of the material, because it is plastic, but I used 10 of them for almost 3 years and now I needed more because I lost some of them and gave some to my friends. So there was no question that I buy the same mags.

They feed all the time. They usually don't break even on concrete. And they fit perfectly in my arcturus and specna ARs. I strongly recommend this package.

Never malfunctions, doesn't rattle and it's compatible with every AR15/M4/M16 replica. what else could you ask for?
(please remember to lubricate with silicon oil every once in a while, and you will never run into trouble)

Very happy with these mags. I wasn't sure at first because of the price but they've all been solid so far. I've run over 1k through each one and hasn't skipped a beat. Will be buying more and hoping to find an AK box just like it

Very good quality plastic mags. Plastic in these mags feels good on my hand and you can drop these on floor and plastic dont break. I use these on my 30rps cyma platium m4 and 35rps krytac spr with no miss feed. No modding is needed for this good performance.

Excellent workmanship are extremely precise, sometimes too precise, the magazines are very handy, great material feed, super, I am more than satisfied and are by far better than those from other manufacturers who cost more than the m4 magazines from the Blue Box, I can only recommend them

All magazines are very nice and light. Fits perfect in my gun and BBs and loader. It's a great price for 10 magazines so i'm very glad I bought this.
