Licensed Colt M45A1 Combat Unit pistol replica [EMG]

Colt Combat Unit GBB is a licensed gas-powered replica of the classic M45A1 pistol, designed for realistic blowback operation, full-metal construction, and Tokyo Marui-standard compatibility ensuring wide availability of parts and accessories. The model was developed in cooperation with 6mm Pro Shop and features official Colt markings.

Construction and design

The replica is based on the classic Colt 1911 platform, maintaining its characteristic ergonomics and control layout.

The model uses a full-size, all-metal construction including the slide, frame, outer barrel, magazine, and control components, providing realistic weight distribution and a pronounced GBB operating feel.

It features a beavertail grip safety and a manual safety lever, supporting safe and controlled handling during use.

The build incorporates T8 components, including a 70° hop-up rubber, magazine seals, and a piston seal. These elements support gas system sealing and stable blowback cycling.

A reinforced T8 trigger unit is also used, improving durability of key mechanical components.

The entire platform is built on Tokyo Marui-compatible standards, ensuring wide availability of replacement parts and upgrade components.

The replica is also compatible with CO2 magazines designed for the M1911 platform.

Gas system and hop-up

A regulated hop-up system allows adjustment of BB trajectory depending on ammunition weight and engagement conditions.

The factory muzzle velocity is approximately 300 FPS, matching the characteristics of compact GBB pistols intended for dynamic use.

Barrel and threading

The 115 mm inner barrel supports stable BB guidance and consistent shot performance.

The outer barrel features a 11 mm internal clockwise thread, allowing installation of compatible muzzle devices.

Magazine

The 25 BB magazine works with the blowback system, ensuring stable gas and BB feeding throughout the firing cycle.

It is equipped with a stainless steel outlet valve manufactured using precision machining, supporting consistent and repeatable gas delivery with each shot.

The design reduces gas loss and helps maintain stable pressure, even in lower temperatures, compared to standard valves.

The replica is also compatible with CO2 magazines designed for the M1911 platform.
