V2 Lightning (front wired) [PERUN]

MOSFET/ETU Perun V2 Lightning Front Wired by Perun is a programmable drop-in electronic unit designed for AEG replicas with a V2 gearbox in the Tokyo Marui standard. The Front Wired variant uses wiring routed to the front of the replica, optical-magnetic mechanism detection and adaptive trigger control, supporting precise adjustment of the replica's trigger response to the user's playstyle.

Construction and design

Perun V2 Lightning replaces mechanical trigger contacts, taking over control of the replica's electrical system. The design uses optical and magnetic sensors responsible for detecting the sector gear, trigger and selector plate.

Contactless detection reduces the number of mechanically operating elements in the trigger system. This construction supports repeatable gearbox cycle detection and allows the unit to be used in many configurations based on a V2 gearbox in the Tokyo Marui standard.

The Front Wired version is prepared with wires routed to the front of the replica. This configuration is intended for replicas where the battery is placed in the front section, for example in the handguard or front assembly space.

Electronic unit

Perun V2 Lightning allows trigger sensitivity adjustment without modifying the trigger or gearbox. Adaptive trigger control allows the trigger travel to be set from very short to longer and more controlled, also during field use.

Settings are programmed using the fire selector and trigger, without an app or additional tools. The configuration process is supported by sound signals and a multicolor LED, which help control selected functions and saved settings.

The unit allows independent configuration of the SEMI and AUTO selector positions. Available functions include fire modes, binary trigger, DMR mode, rate of fire reduction, precocking and active brake.

Replica operation adjustment

Precocking allows the piston to be positioned ready for the next shot, supporting a faster response after pulling the trigger. The function can be adjusted to the replica configuration, as the unit takes into account the mechanism operation and battery voltage.

Active brake is responsible for stopping the motor after a shot or after the last shot in a series. This function helps reduce motor overspin and unwanted double shots in semi-automatic mode, especially in high rate of fire configurations or replicas with lower muzzle energy.

Perun V2 Lightning works with both standard brushed motors and brushless BLDC motors. In configurations with a brushless motor, the motor manufacturer's recommendations regarding active brake and PWM-based rate of fire reduction should be taken into account.

Power supply and protection

The unit supports batteries in the 7-17 V range and is equipped with a factory-soldered T-Plug / T-Deans connector. Built-in protection functions support safer replica operation and make troubleshooting easier during use.

Perun V2 Lightning uses an electronic fuse that cuts off power in the event of a short circuit or gearbox lock-up detection. The unit also features a low-voltage warning for Li-Po / Li-Ion batteries and an LED diagnostic system.
