CM.057T AEG SVD Dragunov [CYMA]

Because it was on sale and I always wanted the CYMA SVD, because after the Real Sword version, this was the only SVD AEG ever made, I bought this version. This version is the polymer version which is cheaper, but the same.
It is upgraded, so everything inside the gearbox has full steel teeth, a high torque motor, everything is metal which is a huge bonus for this price.
It did come with a mid cap. And a BB loader. I bought other CYMA mid caps and will only play with mid caps.
You can only put the battery inside the handguard and to do so you have to lower the lever to a 90 degree angle and pull the front metal part of the handguard and that's it. You can only put a small 11.1V battery above the barrel which means a tamiya connector stick type battery or 3 part battery. I managed to get in a nunchuck 1500 mAh battery so you have options.
90% of this rifle is made of solid aluminum and on the whole this DMR is very well built.
I tested it with 0.36 g bbs with the hop up all the way down and it shoots as far as an AK. I would suggest 0,32 g bbs for the stock version. I put on a regular AK side rail with a 1-4 X scope and it fitted perfectly fine. It weighs 4 kg but feels heavier and longer. This is a long rifle, 20 cm longer than an AK but feels longer.
So I would highly recommend it because you can use it as is. You can use it as a DMR anywhere because it truly is one of the first DMRs ever made in the 1960s. It is extremely well made with a good attention to detail. It is extremely cheap for the high quality internals and externals it provides.

I was happy with the way the svd looked out of the box, but iam however disappointed to see that the mag shipped with it doesn’t even click nicely in the magwell. Meaning I will have to file the mag in certain area for it to fit properly which is annoying. Same goes for the other mag I bought with the replica.

The cyma mount adapter fits perfectly on it though which is nice.

I still haven’t tried the replica yet, but the space for the battery seems to be very short.
There is no instructions on how to open the space for the battery it is located at the gas tube, the is a small lock that you need to remove and position at a 90 degree angle for it to unlock . Then I used a flat screwdriver to remove the gaz tube fitting thingy… honestly it took a while , and I thought I had to position at a 180 degree angle which didn’t work, I ended up scratching the replica with the screwdriver because i thought I needed to brute force my way through… honestly a bad experience just to access to battery placement.

Had a later model and needless to say, this one comes with improvements, the cylinder, piston, tappet plate and trigger contacts are different, blue edition, the hop up is spot on, using 0.32 gram bb is perfect. The mags need a bit of filling down 1mm for the mag catch to sit propper. All in all the replica is perfect for a com block loadout and a decent dmr.
