Great gun for an even better platform. For the price it's what you'd expect, it's nothing fancy but it does the job and it does it well. There are some parts which could be better (foregrip, ejection port cover, muzzle) but I love using it.

This product is quite good and strong 0.28BB can do around 400 fps and is quite reliable. However, the replica has one problem and that is the low-quality basic hop up system, this can be easily remedied by installing a cnc hop up. Apart from that, I have had no negative experience with the replica, even though I have been using it for 1 year

Other than feeding problem with standard magazine, the gun looks and shoots great. The battery compartment is small, so it might be tricky to find a proper battery. Being able to disassemble the gun in like 40 seconds is a big +
For the price, the gun is great!

This is a pretty nice entry level replica that also has its downsides.

For this price it shoots really well out of the box, with a bit of hop adjustment, I could hit targets relieably at 50m.

This is a long replica, out of 820mm length 520mm is the barell, thanks to this it has really good accuarcy as I stated above.

The downside is that in case you want to get a new inner barell, that will be very expensive. As of writing this rewiew there are no 520mm long inner barells of any materials available at Taiwangun.

While i had no problems with the barell shooting wise, the hop-up unit on this replica is terrible. While you can get really nice hop with it, it wont keep that level of hop for long, a bit of running, shaking, even firing will casue it to loose hop gradually. Of course you can set it again any time, but the window to the hop unit is really small, so you will struggle to adjust hop if you are vearing gloves. The hop-up unit also falls apart easily thanks to the twist on securing ring on the back. 4 out of 5 times when i took out the barell during disassembling the hop up unit fell apart. You can put it back together with little problem, but it can become a real headache if you accidentaly loose part of it. To sum it up get a new hop up, the stock one is bad, my one is yet to arrive, i will update my rewiew once I tried it.

This replica is heavy. Loaded, it weighs around 3500g wich is pretty close to the original one. One really nice thing is the center of mass, it isnt back heavy, most of the weight is located at the middle, making handlign a lot more comfortable. It also comes with two sling mounts stock, but the back one cant be reconfigured to be on the right side. The two holes on the side of the replica are of two different size, I have no idea why it was made this way, and this is an issue I am yet to resolve. Other than that I had no issues with the sling mounts.
The replica is also pertty long, not well suited for CQB. I also wouldn’t recommend it for speedsoft, since you will be at a disadvantage carrying that extra weight. I tried both CQB and outdoors combat with it, outdoors is the place where it really shines since you can utilize your range better.

It comes with a built in foregrip that has two settings: up and down. I used mostly the up position, because in the down position there is a significant whobble. In the up position it sits really firm. There is a slight whobble between the barell and the upper reciver, but that is most likely the result of the quick disassembly function. This qiuck disassembly comes is really useful in case you get a jam.

The outer barell and the upper reciver is made out of aluminium, the stock and body is built of ABS plastic, and the inner barell is copper, the hop up unit is plastic. The paint on the outer barell seem to chip off easily, not really a problem if you are aiming for a battle beaten look. The body on the other hand can be problematic. ABS can get quite brittle in cold weather, so try not to drop it or fall with it. It also rattles significantly. The main source of the rattling comes from the foregrip and the trigger mechanism. If you apply some gun grease on the spring inside the foregrip and on the trigger mechanism, you can reduce the rattling significantly. I also applied some grease on the moving parts of the trigger mechanism, and the slides of the reciver to reduce wear over time.

The performance of this replica depends a lot on the battery voltage. While 7.4 V is the recommended voltage, the gun feels sluggish using that. Using 11.1 V LiPo-s I got a really nice trigger response in semi auto and a reasonably good fire rate in full auto. Keep in mind that this will make the gearbox wear out quicker. The mini Tamiya connectors that this replica comes with are considered outdated nowdays, but i didn’t have issues with it so far. An important thing to keep in mind is that this replica does not come with any adaptors, so you will either have to get them separetely or get batteries with mini Tamiya connectors. The battery compartment is located in the stock of the replica, and is fairly small. 11.1 V 1100mAh LiPo-s fit in there nicely, but i wouldn’t go much bigger. Keep this in mind when selecting a battery. The battery compartment can be acsessed by taking of the rubbber butt plate. If you have weak nails I recommend keeping a flat head screwdriwer nearby because it can get tricky getting of the buttplate. In this compartment you will also see the mosfet and a 30 Amp fuse.

The buttstock of this replica is non adjustable. This can cause issues with ergonomics if you have shorter arms. I personally had no issues with ergonomics, but my friends (with shorter arms) said that it was uncomfortable using it. The replica is advertised as fully ambidextrous, the ejection port/hopup window can be freely reconfigured, but the sling can’t be for the upper mentioned reasons.

The replica comes with no iron sights stock, you will need to get a red dot or a scope separately, since there is no reason to get iron sights. The top rail is long enough for you to mount any kind of optic and a protector, but is not a picatiny rail, the grooves are further away from each other. I did not have any issues with it, but in case you do you can swap it freely, beacause it is secured by two screws to the upper reciver and is not cast as one piece. The side rails are plentyful, this time all of them are picantiny. Sadly there is no under barell rail, so you can’t mount a different foregrip.

The stock Hi-cap magazine that comes with this gun is flimsy. I could already see some cracks in it, and feeding wasn’t perfect with it. The only upside to this mag is that its see trough, so you can easily see how much BBs you have left. I got a pack of four mid-cap see trough waffle mags here from Taiwangun ( https://www.taiwangun.com/midcap-magazine-aeg/170rd-aug-magazines-box-of-4 ). These ones are really sturdy and seat perfectly, there is absolutely zero whobble, but you can insert them in a way that they will lock but wont feed. You can see this as a misalignment so it is easy to overcome. The only issue can be with reloading, since they sit so tightly in the gun, it can be difficult realoding at first. The replica always fires a blank shot after reloadning, I experienced it every time. When reloading a couple BBs fall out of the gun, but they can get caught up in the mag chamber. Be sure to always shake these out before inserting a fresh mag, because they can wander around the body of the gun. I got 2 in the grip and one in the buttstock. Getting them out is not really problematic: remove the barell + upper reciver, turn the rest upside down, shake it until the BBs get down, then roll them out. Other than the rattle these stray BBs caused no other problems. The mag release is located on the bottom behind the mag, it’s placement is really convenient, you can’t accidentally release a mag.

The replica has a two stage trigger, it can be very useful, but if you are inexperienced using it properly is difficult. On this replica the difference between the two stages are minimal, it is really easy to accidentally pull a full auto itn the heat of a game. My solution to the problem was getting a three sate trigger instead of the stock two state one. This way you can have a semi only setting and a full auto setting where you can still fire semi auto if you want to. This is especially useful at fields that have a semi only fire rule at some specific places (like indoors). I like to use the semi for CQB and the full auto setting for longer ranges. You can get this fire selector online or you can 3D prit it(as it is a tiny piece of plastic) as I did. The fire selector is purely mechanical, it mechanically stops the trigger from being pulled back. When changing or taking out the fire selector be careful not to loose the metal plate that acts as a spring. This also goes for the pin that secures the upper reciver to the body.

Last time playing the gun was chronoed in at 1.22 Joules using 0.32g BBs, zero hop. The replica is built with a V3 hybrid gearbox, this allows for a quick spring change, so in case that is too much for your field you can act quickly. The page writes what kind of spring the replica has, so you can start adjusting from there.

The modular construction is a really nice feature of this replica that enables you to qiuckly customize it. You want to do CQB? Change the barell for a shorter one. You want to use it as a DMR? Mount a scope, mount a semi only fier selector ,change the spring. The possibilities are near endless. you can even swap the upper reciver for an A1 variant with the built in scope. Other manufacturer’s parts are aslo compatible making this even easier.

To summrize it: This is a nice replica for this price, especially if you want to upgrade it in the future and/or you want to get into modifying replicas. It shoots accurrately out of the box, but with the stock hop up your practical range during a game will be limited to around 30-40 m,but during target practice you cat shoot as far as 60 m. Change the hop up as fast as you can, and dont use the stock mag. If you want a replica that needs little to none maintenance this is not the one for you. Otherwise go get it and have some fun.

It's been a week since I've got this AUG based replica and must say - it is just great ! With a little praktic I've build a proper reflex to shoot semi with this combi trigger which was anoing me in the very beginning. But to be sure I've modified it a little : Drilled a little hole and made a thread M3 on the trigger's body and put a little bolt . The hole is just in the right distance to assure a semi auto shooting only . If I want to perform full auto I simply unscrewed the little bolt and it's done . Regarding bad feeding : I've noticed that when you insert the magazine slow and gently it doesn't feed at all. But if you slam it a bit faster and harder then the magazine and the port hole fit perfect and the feeding is just great. This jewel is so quiet and vibrations free and I can't stop "waste" my BB's ;-) Thanks to the long barrel I am able to hit human corps target size at 170-180 feet . Overall : Don't think twice . Order now !!!

for the very first time I am buying something different than my favorite M4/M16 platform and to be honest - I am gladly surprised of what is in the box . Never seen so good assembled and fitted replica for these money ! It stays solid in the hands and the feeling is for the real Steyr AUG A2 . The weight of nearly 3,5 kg is very close to the real one and the size is exactly 1 : 1 . Wow ! It's a bit noisier than I was expected, but this is jus a drop in the pot of the realism of this replica . Feeding is not 100% with the stock hi-cap magazine which is common for most of these redicilous systems . With purchasing of bunch of mid-cap magazines the problem with the feeding is gone . Thanks to the long barrel the accuracy out of the box is significant : it shoots like a sniper rifle ! It is a just a great platform for convert it to a DMR . The v.3 gearbox is the right solution and it is way easier to upgrade and repair than the v.2 gearboxes . The stock mosfet makes it li-po ready and it feels great with a 11.1 v battery . don't really like the double function of the trigger which control the fire regime , but with a little practice it comes easy to control . Another great asset is the quick spring exchange option , common for the much expensive replicas. Overall : Don't thing more . Go and get it !!!

A replica of the ARMY ARMAMENT company which is famous for the quality of its products and attention to detail.

The replica is made of aluminium alloy and ABS. The bed was made of high quality plastic.
The replica has a "MOSFET" system, it provides faster response to the trigger and protects the mechanical switch from burning out.

Just like in the firearm, a two-stage trigger was used, pulling the trigger halfway allows single shot, while pulling the end its go to auto fire.

The replica, just like the original, has only a fire fuse.

V3 gearbox with quick spring replacement system was used, without having to open the entire gearbox.
Picatinny rails on the upper receiver and on the bed, which give the user the possibility to mount additional accessories on the weapon.

Particularly noteworthy is the modular construction of the replica. In the same way as a real one, it is possible to quickly dismantle the rifle into three parts - a barrel assembly, a bed, an integrated buttstock.

The parts and accessories of other manufacturers are fully compatible with this model, which is very important when you wan to do a upgrade.

Bull-pup design, in which the magazine is located behind the pistol grip and trigger, which gives the possibility of mounting a longer barrel while maintaining a shorter length of total weapons (compared to traditional rifles), which provides better manoeuvrability and increase the accuracy of fire, especially on full auto mode.

The hop-up adjustment has been placed in the ejection window, which is on the right and left side. Depending on the preferences of the shooter, one of the windows can be blinded, so that, if possible, a unique solution from the original version was reproduced, in which there is the ability to quickly translate the lock and blind the appropriate exit window (right or left), which allows rifles to use the rifle for right and left-handed.

The shape of the bed combined with the butt ending with a rubber foot allows you to take a comfortable and confident shooting position.

The reinforced gearbox includes:
  • reinforced steel gears
  • reinforced piston
  • reinforced directional piston head
  • 7 mm metal ball bearings
  • M110 spring
  • spring guide with bearings

Productos recomendados compatibles con la réplica:

NOTICE! Replica have a unique serial number!

Every replica pass initial check up. It's being checked and overshooted on XCORTECH X3200 chronograph.
