The MP056B StG44 airsoft replica by AGM is an electric model inspired by one of the most distinctive German automatic rifles of World War II. The construction combines metal and steel components, a wooden stock, and an oxidized finish that emphasizes the replica's historical styling.

Construction inspired by the StG 44

The construction recreates the characteristic silhouette of the StG 44, previously known under the MP 43 and MP 44 designations. The historical firearm made extensive use of stamped steel components and featured a wooden stock and a distinctive curved magazine.

The AGM replica uses metal and steel construction components together with a wooden stock. Its characteristic proportions, control layout, and magazine shape refer to the appearance of the historical StG 44.

Oxidized finish and wooden stock

The metal components of the replica feature an oxidized finish. The dark surface combined with the natural appearance of the wooden stock emphasizes the styling of a model inspired by German firearms from the World War II period.

The wooden stock contains space for the battery, allowing the power source to remain concealed inside the construction.

MP44 and StG 44, historical context

The historical firearm entered service as the MP 43 and was redesignated MP 44 in 1944. Later that same year, its name was changed to Sturmgewehr 44, or StG 44. The MP 43, MP 44, and StG 44 designations therefore refer to successive stages in the development and naming of essentially the same firearm.

The StG 44 used the intermediate 7.92 × 33 mm Kurz cartridge and was capable of both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire. The design holds an important place in the history of assault rifle development, while its distinctive form remains recognizable among enthusiasts of historical reenactment.

Operation and hop-up

The replica is equipped with a fire selector whose placement refers to that of the historical firearm.

The adjustable hop-up system is located under the ejection port cover. Access to the adjustment allows the user to set the BB spin and adjust its flight path.

Internals and mechanism

The airsoft rifle replica uses a V2 gearbox with steel gears mounted on 8 mm metal bushings. The mechanism also includes a chrome-plated cylinder, directional piston head, and metal spring guide.

The factory muzzle velocity is ~400 FPS.
