CM.039C, GEN-2 [CYMA]

The AKM GEN-2 airsoft rifle by CYMA is an AEG rifle combining the AK platform with an adjustable M4 stock and RIS rail system. The airsoft gun features a GEN-2 V3 gearbox with a quick spring change system, CYMA V3 electronic system, and metal external components, creating a functional configuration for airsoft games with different FPS limits.

Construction and design

The airsoft gun is made of polymer, aluminium, and steel. The metal components include the receiver cover, lower receiver, and outer barrel. The stock, pistol grip, folding foregrip, and handguard are made of polymer.

The handguard features RIS rails for mounting additional accessories. A metal RIS rail positioned above the receiver cover allows sights to be installed. The construction also includes imitation pins and an individual serial number located on the lower receiver.

The outer barrel features a 14 mm CCW thread for mounting muzzle devices using this standard.

Ergonomics and handling

The five-position M4 stock allows the length to be adjusted to the user's body shape and tactical gear. The folding foregrip supports stable rifle handling and reduces its profile when folded.

The battery compartment is located under the receiver cover. The airsoft gun uses a T-connect connector.

Internal parts and mechanics

The GEN-2 V3 gearbox is equipped with a quick spring change system. It allows the FPS configuration to be adjusted to the requirements of the airsoft game.

The mechanism uses 18:1 gears, 8 mm ball bearings, and a short high-torque neodymium motor. The piston features full metal teeth, while the steel spring guide is equipped with bearings.

Electronic system

The AKM GEN-2 airsoft gun uses a CYMA V3 ZEUS MOSFET. The electronic system supports a fast trigger response.

Performance and precision

The metal AK-standard hop-up chamber allows the BB spin to be adjusted. The airsoft gun is equipped with a 455 mm brass AEG inner barrel with a diameter of 6.03 mm.

The factory muzzle velocity is ~390 FPS, while the rate of fire is ~27 RPS.

Power supply

The airsoft gun uses a T-connect connector, and the battery compartment is located under the receiver cover.
