Classic design

The electric version of the FN M249 MKII machine gun features a robust construction. Components such as the receiver, carry handle guide, ammunition belt feed tray, box latch, barrel release, carrying handle, bipod, trigger guard, as well as all screws and pins, are carefully made of steel. The top cover, barrel, bipod mount, gas block, and flash hider are made of the highest-quality metal, while the stock, pistol grip, handguard, foregrip, trigger block, and stock components are made of synthetic material.
The MKII features a folding bipod integrated with the handguard, allowing users to set up and fire from a supported position. The stock faithfully replicates the original MKII M249 polymer stock, complete with a folding shoulder rest.
In accordance with the original firearm, the A&K M249 MKII offers the ability to use two types of magazines for ammunition feeding - standard M4/M16-type magazines and dedicated box magazines designed for M249 replicas.

Fully reinforced mechanics

At the heart of this airsoft machine gun lies a robust M249 gearbox, carefully designed to withstand prolonged and continuous support fire. The gearbox is equipped with a convenient quick spring change system. Inside the gearbox, a comprehensive set of 18:1 ratio gears is mounted on 8 mm ball bearings, ensuring smooth operation and delivering 20 rounds per second. The replica's compression and system sealing are provided by a flat stamped aluminum piston and a cylinder head featuring double sealing with a thick sorbothane pad, along with a piston head equipped with ball bearings.
A&K pays particular attention to detail when modifying the replica, introducing a modified microswitch for a faster and more responsive trigger. Another important element is the upgraded hop-up unit, equipped with a new rubber and a special omega-type nub to improve range and accuracy.
