It broke after only firing 10 rounds due to it firing an o-ring, sent it back for repairs, did so again after only 5 rounds plus some parts of the o-ring got stuck in the drum mag, jamming it totally.

I was in search of a unique shotgun replica when I stumbled upon this fantastic replica from APS. If you, like me, are in search of a somewhat “exotic” replica to add to your collection (or/and to grab some attention during CQB/Milsim games) the APS Striker-12 Street Sweeper Revolver Shotgun is definitely it.

Unboxing:
The experience is what you would imagine when spending for an “expensive” replica. The packaging is beautiful and compact. The sturdy cardboard box has a carrying black plastic handle and is coloured gray/black with red stripes and it sports the Hakkotsu and APS logos. When opening it the replica is securely housed in pre-cut dark gray foam. The package includes the fully assembled (folded) shotgun, 12 shells, a warranty card and a QR code for online instructions. The replica arrived without a scratch.

Included Accessories: not much. The box comes with 12 high-quality shells made from CNC-worked polymer. Each shell has a silicone O-ring at the front to create a tight seal when shooting.

Pros:

+ Build Quality: the Striker-12 is almost all-metal (front barrel and trigger also), with the only plastic parts being the grips, the two operating levers, stock foot and part of the body which are made from very high-quality polymer. The safety switch is metal made and has colored white/red indicators to show safe and fire mode. Under the trigger guard some text with the serial number is engraved.

+ Performance: though the range isn’t extraordinary (tested around 23° range 15-20 meters) the shotgun’s spread is effective in close quarters. The trigger has two modes and quite some travel, soft-pressing it rotates the cylinder without firing while a hard-press triggers a shot. The interesting part is that the used shells remain inside the cylinder, this means you don’t need a pouch to collect them for each shot. Not only does the shotgun have zero leaks (tested with a small quantity of gas inside resting for two days) with a complete gas charge I was able to pull around 48 shots reliably, that is absurd efficiency!

+ Useful and beautiful: the unconventional look of the Street Sweeper is not only beautiful. The compactness when the stock is folded makes it perfect for tight corners, also it is possible to install on the top of the replica a small 5 slot picatinny rail (~6.3mm/2.5”), which can be useful if you want to install any kind of accessory. Also, on the barrel and on the back of the body two sling attachments are ready to be used.

Cons:

- Stock Wobble: after some uses the folding stock became slightly wobbly, I found out that a small clearance has been generated at the metal push button that is used to unfold/fold the stock. It’s not much, yet still when the stock folds I see that it doesn’t rest as close to the barrel as when it was new. But I tried other replicas that had much more wobbliness than this one.

- Trigger Stiffness: the trigger pull requires a little too much force and travel in my opinion, which becomes pretty noticeable after one day of games. Without gloves it’s also possible to notice a little kickback on the finger.

Final Overview:
Overall the quality and performance of this shotgun is excellent, with some downsides on the trigger force and stock wobbliness, but that is just acceptable. My conclusion is that if it was possible to give more than five stars I would. It’s a fantastic choice for anyone.

Tips:
I recommend priming the spring enough to make at least two full revolutions. Each shell weighs around ~21g so the cylinder becomes quite heavy when fully loaded (~250g). Without enough priming, the cylinder won't rotate. Also this makes it possible for you to reload faster as you will be able to soft-press the trigger making the cylinder rotate faster instead of having to manually rotate the spring to unload each shell.

Remember to store the shotgun with the cylinder unprimed to prolong the spring lifespan, exactly as it came with the box.

If you want more range, just use less bbs inside the shells! As this shotgun has one barrel only, this will enhance the accuracy and range a little.

You load each round like a single action army and turn the lever of the drum like a rotating launcher
The shells are only for this gun so you cannot load standard shells of other spring shotguns
Consider buying an extra pack of 12 round or two because you are gonna run dry pretty fast
Tested it in a cqb field an it completely annihilates ( keep a sidearm just in case)
Each round holds and fires 5 bbs and the range is typical for a shotgun

APS Striker MK2 looks good, feels good and performs well. Trigger is bit heavy and since it only shoots 12 rounds and reloading is slow you might need a sidearm.. Each shell holds 5 bbs and it shoots all 5 on each shot. It’s quite accurate upto 15-20 m and the sights are spot on. MK2 uses special shells only made for this gun so make sure you get the right ones.
