But the AEG parts that came in it surprised me beyond belief for a replica that costs only about 150$
The body has great quality and finish.
I initially wanted the M733 model but after that was sold out i had to go with this one. Only difference is aesthetics as i am making a very specific build. -

It doesn't fit all the bb's, only if you really jam it. But that can damage the spring in longer term use. -

Externally it's a very well built replica, body made from aluminum and the plastic parts are okay, the stock was a bit wobbly but nothing a bit of electrical tape didn't fix. the handguards are the oval m4 type instead of the round skinny ones from the original car-15. They do not creak but they are thin; im pretty sure they can be replaced by a pair of double star skinny handguards. There's no play whatsoever between the upper and lower receiver which is very good in my opinion. Mechanically speaking i haven't got the chance to open the gearbox but I've peeked inside it a bit. Cylinder is made from aluminum and it is ported so has the correct air volume for a 300mm barrel. Piston has half metal and half plastic gears which is not terrible at this price range, piston head has a couple washers in it so i suppose it's cushioned, which is not entirely necessary given that the spring guide is also cushioned and it made of metal. Cylinder head is made from brass. Hop up is the classical old type of m4 t-hop hup with 3 little gears for regulation. Stock hop up rubber is thin and not super good so I'd suggest you replace it with a maple leaf, g&g or whichever brand you prefer. The gears are the standard jg ones with an 18:1 ratio which are good if you do not stress the replica hard enough, say with an 11. 1 volt lipo battery, 7.4v will do just fine. Speaking of the battery, the included battery is an 1100mah 2/3A ni-mh battery along with its charger. If you shoot conservatively it will last a good 5/6 hours if charged fully. The replica is nicely packaged in a foam material that will keep the replica firm in place in the box and contrary to polystyrene will not get everywhere in the gun. You will also find a cleaning rod which everyone knows is always useful. In the end i feel to recommend this replica if you want a retro style ar-15 platform, also works as a solid base for future customs and a nice display piece as well. -

It is a nice replica of a classic colt rifle. The metal is decent, it feels solid in the hands.
The battery compartment is in the front of the replica, having the space for a small 11.1, a brick 9.6, or a 7.4 lipo or 8.4.
I had tiwangun reshim and add a new hop rubber, a 65-degree to the replica.
It shot 380 with 2s and can hop a 32 perfectly down range to a target about 200 ft with ease, making it a great compact weapon that can asl9o land shots at range.
The gun is responsive with a 9.6, a lipo is not needed to get a great trigger response.
Over all, this is a great replica that is also affordable, it is a must-have in my opinion. -
- 12.01.2023 schrieb:I use this replica has a base to build a M723 clone (You can also do a M733 with the original barrel)
The stock tube is big enough to put a battery in it. the body is solid and all is very compatible with after market parts (slim handguard, stock, barrel...)
I add a brass deflector on it and finally achieve to obtain the replica who doesn't exist on the market for a 1980's-1990's vibe -
- 12.02.2022 schrieb:I just now got it, it feels great and the parts have no wobble or creaking, only issue is its not quite accurate to the real XM177E2, it still makes a pretty fun replica for field and backyard use.

- 30.12.2021 schrieb:Externally, this replica is decent. The upper and lower fit together well, the stock does not have much jiggle, and the fore end is solid with no play or wobble. I do not like the handguards or grip. The handguards are m4 style, so not completely accurate to the real-steel, but worse, they are thin and feel flimsy. The grip is very thick at the top corners where it meets the trigger guard. The corners of these thick areas can jab into your fingers with some holds. I believe the guards/grip are ABS plastic, which is ok, but worse than zci, doublebell, g&g, and similar plastics. Only other external complaint is that the front-sight post is barely there; it is a tiny nub and cannot be raised higher.
Internally, there is a lot to like. JG replicas tend to be pretty good out of the box; mine does not sound like it whines or grinds, so I'm going to leave the shimming and use it stock until something breaks. The wire is basic copper and nothing special, but the motor is strong with neodymium magnets. To have a motor like that in a stock gun is pretty awesome.
The fact this replica comes with a battery and charger is a very nice bonus. The packaging was also good with ample foam to keeps things from moving around in the box. All in all, great for the price! -
- 19.12.2021 schrieb:I saw the other folk above complained about the carry handle can not be removed which is the whole selling point of this gun.
This is a great replica of the XM177E2 model. So far I had it from Classic army, cyma, and now JG.
Pros:
- Out of the three brands mentioned above, this is the only one that has the matt-ish finish on the receiver, which is great.
- Great value-price ratio.
- Shoots very great out of the box (ROF and accuracy wise)
Cons:
- The pistol grip / flash hider / stock feel quite low quality stuff.
- The thick handguard is not authentic (xm177 has the slimmber one), but Cyma also has this thick one...
Overall I think its a great option if you want a cheap but great XM177, since you can find the slim handguard sold on Aliexpress.
I think it is important to mention that if you want only ONE airsoft replica in your collection and you want the XM177, I suggest you pick in this order:
Classic Army (rare) / Cyma (mosfet built in, overall better quality for slightly higher price) then this JG.
But if you already have N replicas, and just want one more onto the wall, pick this one :) -

also good value for a box of seven
