ARC X C.A.T. Legend 8.5" AR-15 AEG rifle [ARCTURUS]

The ARC-X C.A.T. Legend 8.5 AR-15 AEG Rifle from Arcturus impresses right out of the box with its excellent look and feel, capturing the essence of a high-quality replica. However, it's important to be aware of the limited battery space. This rifle accommodates only specific battery types, and even the recommended battery listed can be a tight fit, requiring the stock to be fully extended for proper installation. This aspect might need some consideration, especially for those who prefer more flexibility in battery choices or often play with a collapsed stock. Despite this, the overall performance and aesthetic appeal of the rifle are outstanding, making it a strong choice for airsoft enthusiasts.

Absolutely stellar replica!
Great out of the box. Only very minor issues that are barely issues (not much room for battery but the battery extender included in the box helps a lot! Brick batteries and smaller ones are the way to go!)
The little metal swivel for the stock/battery compartment can come loose, this needs to be improved but its not a big problem at all.
All the features of this gun are amazing, the riveting is compeletely fine, only maybe in the piston/top of the receive you might get some issues with debris but its only a very small surface area that is open to the internals (5cm, this can be closed in a lot of ways but im not sure its even an issue yet, just rather be careful than not).
The gun 10/10 in looks and 10/10 in performance. Overall I have 0 regrets and its my new main replica :D!

The ARC X C.A.T. Legend is a brilliant replica out of the box for the premium price that it goes for however there are a few things to be aware of before buying which will be listed down below.

The build quality of the replica is premium with a full metal body and only the stock and grip being made of a high quality polymer. Due to the full m metal body this replica is noticeably heavier however, this is not something I would consider a drawback.

The stock of the replica is customizable being able to change the stock with a rail system which is extremely easy to do and allows for bigger batteries to be stored in the stock. This was a great selling point for me however when I received the item I found out that non of my batteries could fit in the buffer tube of the replica and I am forced to use the larger stock attachment. The problems don't end there however. The replica comes with a Deans battery connector which is a problem for us that use the Tamiya connector luckily the replica comes packaged with a Deans to Tamiya adaptor which is quite large and hard to manoeuvre inside the buffer tube leading onto the next issue. As mentioned batteries don't seem to fit nicely into the buffer tube due to the Deans adaptor that comes with the replica meaning that yes you can buy a smaller one online but that means the one that comes with it is useless. Now you can mount the bigger stock and put the batteries in there however one of the bolts that hold the stock in place will have to be empty as you must awkwardly squish the two Tamiya connectors from the adaptor and the actual battery you wish to put in between a small opening in the stock and close it with a bit of struggling sometimes.

The replica is advertised as 11.1V Li-Po ready this is absolutely not true in my case. sticking a 11.1V battery in makes the gun double fire on semi and do a weird burst fire on full auto. playing around with the mechanical pre-cocking didn't fix the issue for me at all. which brings us onto the next part which is the mechanical pre-cocking.

The mechanical pre-cocking is such a cool feature and is the entire reason I bought this replica. it can be adjusted from 1.0-12.5 on the gears when the gun is opened and it comes pre-cocked at 8.0 which shoots really nice with a 7.4v Li-Po I have turned mine down to around 4.0 and the trigger response is amazing full auto is also really nice. However, even when I set mine to around 12.3 (being the weakest setting I managed to get it to shoot at due to the gears being quite hard to fine tune)the 11.1V Li-Po still didn't stop double shooting which is a shame although at the configuration that I use now it is still a brilliant fast firing replica.

The one other thing that I would point out is that although after reading the manual and instructions the mechanical pre-cocking is much easier to operate and tune I must add that one must be very careful when opening this gun up as there are lots of small parts especially in the upper receiver that can come lose and putting it back together can be quite a challenge.

Otherwise than the negatives I have pointed out this replica is brilliant straight out of the box and will last me many years with very little chance of it breaking due to the high build quality.
