Also it's the new design of the magazine mechanism which makes operation quiet.

Expecting the old mag with the green insert, i got surprised by a totally new insert from A&K! Not only it looks more effiecient, but also looks similar to all the third-party inserts we already know. Also the noise is reduced due to the new design! Highly recommended! Already ordered a second one

They are rare they are annoying in maintenance and they break often. As pkm user be advised having 2-4 boxes as spares becausr tinkering around wires and repairing these mags is a must in the end.
But damn 5k capacity is bloody nice trust me

I recently purchased the 2024 version of the A&K PKM. It came with a box mag that had a updated insert (black in color) that utilizes a turbine style feed system instead of the "old" winding spring style (green insert).

Suffice it to say that the new black insert is wonderfully more reliable, quiet and consistent. I've put well over 75,000 BB's through it and it's performance has been perfect.

Shortly after, I decided to order 2 additional box mags as having backups is always a necessity for milsims and skirmishes far away. Even though the images on this product page show the "old" green insert, I still ordered them as it would be better than nothing if my original box mag somehow died.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that when these arrived, they contained the new updated black turbine system.

I'm over the moon not having to deal with the common green insert issues (stripped plastic gears, faulty switch, loose wiring, etc.).

These new black inserts are wired much more robustly, and because of the turbine feed system, there is no plastic gear array that can strip or crack. The switch in the black ones seems much more stiff and well mounted.

The turbine system resembles/mimics "other" popular aftermarket inserts so the design seems much more serviceable, durable and thought out.

I hope Taiwangun updates this product page with new images and description, because these are a huge leap in reliability and design compared to the old green insert ones.

If you have a PKM... get these now. I could not recommend them enough!
