Dummy AN/PEQ-16 (Battery Case) - Dark Earth [FMA]

Great budget PEQ box for battery storage and looks

I’ve been using the FMA AN/PEQ-16 dummy box mainly to store a battery and improve the look of my setup, and it does both well. It mounts easily on a standard RIS rail and has enough internal space for small LiPo batteries, especially for front-wired replicas.

The build is lightweight polymer but feels decent for the price. It looks realistic (stickers and rotating knobs are a nice touch), making it a good cosmetic upgrade if you don’t need a real laser unit.

Pros:

Cheap and practical battery storage solution
Easy to mount, fits standard rails
Adjustable size/extension for more space
Good visual realism for milsim builds

Cons:

Plastic build (not super durable long-term)
Some parts (like covers or latch) can feel loose
No electronics — purely cosmetic + storage

Verdict: Great value if you want extra battery space and better aesthetics, but don’t expect premium durability or functionality beyond that

If you're looking for a cool build without spending a lot on a laser you probably won't use unless you have night vision, or just want something to hold a battery, this product is a great option. The stickers look great, and the knobs actually rotate. The material is durable plastic, so no surprises there. The only minor issue I've noticed is that the laser and lamp covers can be a bit loose and fall off easily, but that's easily fixed with some glue or velcro.
